Hey there! Welcome to my little slice of the internet – shutter.photos!

So, in case you’re wondering, “who’s the person behind the camera?”. Well, my name is Klaus and I’ve been flirting with photography for some good 30 years now. Sometimes it’s been a hot romance, other times it’s been more of a slow-burning love. But hey, the flame’s never gone out! Thanks to the lockdown, I found the perfect excuse to hang out more with my mirrorless outside – in a totally safe, mask-up, social-distancing way, of course.

Together with my friends, we’ve been on a few “photo safaris”, wandering through the streets of our hometown, Hamburg. Looking for new perspectives, enjoying the beauty of the city!

I love portrait photography (there’s something about capturing the soul through the eyes, you know?), but I’m not chained to just one style. There’s a whole palette of shots out there waiting to be taken!

But allow me to make one thing crystal clear. I am not, I repeat, NOT a professional photographer. Photography is my hobby, not my job. So no, I won’t do your wedding, your family portraits, or your passport photos. Big apologies if I’ve burst any bubbles. This is purely my creative outlet where I share my experiences, connect with like-minded folks, and probably learn a thing or two from you too.

Over time I might convince some of my photography friends to write an article and share their experience learning photography as a hobby.
